Cultural Etiquette in Nepal

Here are some forms of cultural etiquette in Nepal:

  1. Namaste is the form of greeting in morning, day and evening.
  2. Take off your shoes before entering to the holy sites like temples and Gumba.
  3. Touching something by left hand is called impure.
  4. Things made from leather are not allowed in the temple.
  5. Skirts and short clothes for women are not considered good in the rural areas.
  6. Permissions should be taken to take photographs in some special areas.
