Namaste and welcome to Nepal. As you arrive Kathmandu, Vertex Holiday’s airport representative receives you at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After getting refreshed, we give you a short briefing and orientation by our trekking leaders. The evening is wonderful with dinner with the Nepali cultural program. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, set out for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, these include UNESCO listed world heritage sites. Kathmandu is a city of temples and medieval arts and architecture. There is Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square in Kathmandu. However, there are in total of seven world heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley. Returning back from the sightseeing tour, you get a short trip briefing. Overnight at the hotel.

Having breakfast, drive to the domestic airport of Kathmandu and fly to Lukla enjoying the picturesque Everest region Himalayas. Landing at Lukla, you meet the rest of the crew who accompanies us during the trekking. Then the trek starts smoothly through the easy trail and you can see the tiny settlements along with their potato fields. Crossing the steel bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, we reach Phakding. Overnight at lodge.

After the delicious breakfast, we begin our trek, which is ascending high. Crossing bridges, we arrive at the entry gate of Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsalle. Now the trail is steep high. The charming view of Everest can be seen for the first time of the trek. We walk continually till we reach to the horseshoe-shaped Namche Bazaar, which is one of the busiest settlements in the Everest region. Overnight at lodge.

Today is an acclimatization and exploration day. To avoid mountain sickness, it is necessary when we walk over 2700 meters. So, we go on exploring this amazing town along with its neighboring parts as Khumjung and Everest view hotel. There are almost all the facilities and markets of all the goods. Basic facilities are available at the health post/hospital, school, trade centers, and others. Hillary school is located there. The exploration hiking is also wonderful to understand the Sherpa culture and traditions, spirituality and hospitality. Back to lodge and rest. Overnight at lodge.

We commence through the fine and gradual uphill trail. The mountain views come in front of your eyes that are really incredible. Also, the wild animals including Himalayan Thar and musk deer can be seen. The national bird Danphe dances beside the trail. Descending to Kyanjuma, we climb up steadily through the rhododendron forest and reach to Phortse under the shadow of Tawoche. Overnight at lodge.

Heading for the Phortse village we cross the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and continue walking through the forest region. We see the biological diversities. It means the perfect combination of flora and fauna. The cascading waterfalls are amazing that can be seen during the trekking. We reach to Luza, pass the village, walk through the sandy trail and reach the Machhermo village. Nearby the village, the Himalayan Rescue Center lies, this is a place to treat the people having altitude problems. Overnight at lodge.

Enjoying the view of the Dudh Koshi valley, we begin to trek higher with a destination of Gokyo today. Thamserku peeps from the near horizon. From Phanga, we trek down to the Riverside and climb again through the Ngozumba glacier. Reaching up to the Gokyo valley or Dudh Pokhari, we pass Lonpongo and Ramboche Tso. Gokyo valley is located at 4800 meters. You may find it tough to deal with the alpine altitude, but the following day it becomes normal as we go over 5300 meters. Overnight at lodge.

It is an exploration day. After having breakfast, we ascend to the Gokyo Ri. Or we hike to the 4th and 5th Lake. The views of Everest, Cho-Oyu, Gyachung, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makulu can be explored from the Gokyo top. The longest glacier in Nepal, Ngozumba glacier can be seen from there. Exploring the natural wonders, we trek down to the Gokyo valley and rest. Overnight at lodge.

From the Gokyo valley, we climb to the ridge, walk down and follow the route dominated by the glacial rocks. Walking ups and down, exploring the alpine scenarios, we reach to Dragnag with a target to cross the Cho La pass on the following day. Overnight at lodge.

After breakfast early in the morning, we walk through the steep climbing route. Then we descend for about half an hour through the rugged trail. Reaching Cho La pass Phedi, we walk through the icy area. Now the technical section begins that leads to the Cho La top. Most of the time, Cho La pass remains snowy. From the top, you can explore the views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse and others. The descending route is another challenge today, which is steep down and challenging. Gradually, we reach to Dzongla. Overnight at lodge.

After breakfast, we descend to the grazing meadow of the Lobuche. The tombstones there resemble the tough altitude around this place. Then we climb to Lobuche, which is pretty faster. Now we meet the Everest base camp trekkers of the main route. Overnight at lodge.

We are very near to our final destination of Everest base camp trekking. For lunch, we reach to Gorakshep, where we also put our baggage. Carrying a day pack, we begin to ascend to the Everest base camp through the rocky trail that is prevailed with moraines. At the climbing seasons, Everest base camp remains full of tents, where climbers stay and do climbing practices. Taking sufficient snaps, we descend to Gorakshep and rest. Overnight at lodge.

Getting up early, we hike up to Kalapatthar. For the breathtaking sunrise view over the snowy peaks, Kalapatthar is the best viewpoint. Also the awesome panoramas of Makalu, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse and Cho Oyu can be seen. Then we trek down to Gorakshep, have breakfast/lunch and trek down to Pheriche. It’s a long walk, but superb excursion. Overnight at lodge.

We follow the route that goes through the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. The trek is wonderful with the views of some Khumbu peaks that are familiar to us. Passing Pangboche and then Tengboche, we reach to the Namche Bazaar. If you prefer, we can descend further to Monju and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

This is the last trekking day. We have breakfast and begin the excursion through the steep trail from Namche Bazaar. Checking out from the national park counter, we reach to Monju and head further crossing the suspension bridges. Passing Phakding, the normal route begins. We gradually reach to our concluding point at Lukla. We celebrate our successful trek with all the team members. It is the last day of the trek for our crew. Overnight at lodge.

It’s time to bid farewell to this Himalayan town and fly back to Kathmandu. The Himalayan peaks that became familiar to us can be explored for the last time if the weather is clear. Landing in Kathmandu, you transfer to the hotel and take a rest. Overnight at the hotel.

This is a great day to explore the ancient town- Bhaktapur. It is a half-day trip. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is an old Newari town, where medieval architectures, pagoda style temples, pottery square, and various other attractions lie there. After the tour, drive back to Kathmandu and join the dinner in the evening at a typical Nepali restaurant. We have a special moment. Overnight at the hotel.
Note: in case the flight gets canceled, today is the reserve day for that. Weather change is normal in the mountainous region.
