The Dolpo region is known for the Sky Burial practice where the body of the deceased is fed to vultures. Shey Gompa is a major cultural landmark for pilgrims and tourists along with stupas, Chhortens Mani walls, and prayer flags along the trail. Besides, the waterfall plunging from the lake dam is a noteworthy attraction of the Shey Phoksundo National Park. A wide variety of flora and fauna including some rare and endangered species call this national park home.

Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda Trek

Duration: 13 Days

A calmer and easier type of hiking route, but full of scenic views of Langtang mountain range, alpine meadows for Yaks, green hills, stone steps, and many more. Tibetan culture influenced Langtang valley and the majority of inhabitants share ancestry to Tibet. Buddhism is prevalent in the region and monuments like stupas, Mani walls, prayer wheels/flags are visible throughout the hiking trip. Dorje Lakpa 6998m, Langtang Lirung 7245m are the major mountain peaks in the Langtang National Park.The Langtang valley offers several trekking peaks allowing trekkers with the experience of climbing a peak without any technical knowledge.. A side hike to Tserko Ri 4984 m offers the best view of the overall trekking trip.

The Langtang National Park is a protected site and houses various species of flora and fauna. Some rare/endangered species like Red Panda and Snow leopard barking deer, foxes, alpine pheasants, and some smaller birds are more likely to be seen. A high-altitude lake with a significant religious value, Gosaikunda is situated at 4300m  and visited by thousands of pilgrims and tourists. Even though the Langtang valley is an underrated tourism destination considering how beautiful it is. Cultural-wise, the people of the Langtang region are  Tibetan Buddhism oriented as most of the inhabitants are the descendants of Tibetan refugees.

Gokyo Valley Trek

Duration: 10 Days

Highest Altitude: Gokyo Ri 5435m

Located in the Sagarmatha National Park, Gokyo valley is an amazing trekking destination. The Gokyo valley hiking trip follows the Dudh Koshi river gorge to the origin: Gokyo lakes. This oligotrophic freshwater lake system comprises 19 different glacial lakes and is a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Once a year during the Janai Purnima festival, pilgrims visit Gokyo Lake and some even take a bath in the cold icy water. However, when the lake is frozen several other activities are optional including ice skating and ice hockey as they were both introduced in 2019.
