Seti River Rafting starts beyond scenic Pokhara valley, near the town of Damauli of 55 km distance from Pokhara. Can reach from Chitwan and Kathmandu also of 3-4 hour drive to Damauli town for Seti River Rafting. Seti River flows from the glaciers of majestic Fishtail_peak, the famous Machhapuchare Himal, and the Annapurna Himalaya range.

The word Seti for white, the river flows from the mountains carrying a mixture of chalk and lime-stones. Thus making the river a milky white, which is also the name of Seti River the milky river. Seti River Rafting provides excellent moderate adventure floating downstream eventually joins with Trisuli River on the second day of rafting.

Seti River Rafting Food and Accommodation:

All meals will be prepared by our rafting cook and staff, food according to one choice for all rafting members.

Foods include breakfast porridge, corn flakes, cereals, muesli followed with warm milk, toasted bread, various types of eggs from boiled, fried, poach, omelets to scramble. Followed by tea-coffee-drinking chocolate.

Lunch a dry picnic, bread, jam, honey and butter, fried rice or noodles, with vegetables and salads with some canned meats or sardine-tuna. Served with refreshing orange/lemon drinks. 

At camp afternoon tea-coffee, cookies, with dinner soup of variation every night, from tomato, corn, chicken, vegetable, etc. Main course Nepali Dal Bhat with vegetable mild curry, Fried Noodle, Mashed Potato, salad of variation.

Followed by dessert fresh fruits seasonal wise or canned mixed fruit.

Sometimes cook can bake fresh cakes and pies as well. Followed by tea coffee, hot chocolate. 


Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Drive to Damauli town and on the Seti Riverside and raft to Saran

Morning having early breakfast or on route to ‘Put-In Point’ of Rafting at Damauli town, our staff will pick you up from the hotel. A drive on a car, coach, or bus according to group size, on leaving the city suburb and beyond Pokhara valley.

On drive enjoy views of Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna Himalaya range a scenic short drive on main Pokhara and Kathmandu road. As drive leads on 53 km road distance from Pokhara city to Damauli, the headquarter town of Tanau district. On reaching before Damauli town down to the Beach of Seti River, where Mardi River joins a tributary flows from the glaciers of Machhapuchare Himal / Fish Tail and Annapurna peaks.

The Seti River is situated below the bridge that joins Damauli town and Pokhara city. On the riverside captain/guide of the boat and rafting crews will welcome you. Lunch depending upon time permitting, either on the sandy beach of Seti River or downstream beaches. A picnic-style lunch with bread, noodles, canned fish, meats and salads, fresh seasonal fruits with cold orange or lemon drinks.

Captain the head river guide, will brief on safety measures, paddling technique skills required especially on big rapids. After getting geared up with helmets, life-jackets, Rafters needs to wear shorts and T-shirts, water-proof suits as optional.

The captain will guide you to your seats on the side tube of the raft after getting hold of a paddle each. Valuables like cameras, cell-phone, etc. are put in a water-proof barrel. Raft downstream as the captain gives orders from like back, right, left paddling as you come across smaller waves and going through few smaller rapids.

A short float downstream having picnic lunch on the sandy beach of Seti River, as paddling progresses. Then heading towards a short drop and a rapid, after exciting rafting of few hours than completing the day near the small farm village at Saran-Ghat. The tented camp is set near the riverside, after a refreshing time with a warm cup of tea and coffee at the camp, prepared by the rafting cook and staff.

Enjoy a short walk to the village and enjoy watching local fishermen trying their luck to catch some fishes in the river like silver carp and a few other species.

Dinner is served by our rafting staff and cook, enjoy the dinner with the sound of river flow, under the bright starry night.

Day 2 : Raft to Ghai-Ghat where Seti joins Trishuli River 3-4 hours rafting.

Morning having delightful breakfast, and getting refreshed then ready for second-day float, after packing and clearing the camp. Get equipped with helmets, life-jackets and take the needy items for day rafting.

Morning head downstream after getting seated in the right positions, as paddling progress enjoy the scenery of dense sub-tropical, and of riverside village farm life.

After a few hours of interesting float heading downstream in between two hills, then enjoy the last big rapid. As captain orders you with paddling instructions, after going through the final rapid of the day, where Seti joins the Trisuli River. Enjoy the rafting with picnic lunch on the sandy beach of Trisuli River, afternoon a short float paddle over small bouncy waves.

Finally, the second-day adventure rafting Seti River ends on the banks of Trisuli River at a small settlement of Ghai-Ghat, a place with wayside tea shops and few stores. After completing the day rafting walk to the roadside, where our vehicles will be waiting with your dry clothes. After getting dressed up in normal dry clothes head back to Kathmandu, after an exciting and memorable adventure on Seti with Trisuli River Rafting.

Options for interested people, after ending the day rafting at Ghai-Ghat village one can drive back to scenic Pokhara or towards Chitwan National Park for a jungle safari. The other option is to stay in wayside river resorts and enjoy a cable car ride to the holy temple of Mankamana, located on a hilltop across River Trisuli.
