The adventure begins with a short drive from Pokhara and beyond to reach the mid-hill farm country, and then heading towards high hills. As walk progress within lovely woods lined with tall rhododendron, oaks, and pine trees to reach Ghorepani village. Located on a high green hill en-route to Kaligandaki and Mustang area, as well towards our destination Annapurna Sanctuary. The next early morning a short hike uphill to famous scenic view-point Poon Hill, where you can catch stunning sunrise views. Overlooking more than 360° panorama of the world's three highest mountain ranges from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna to Manaslu range of peaks. Includes majestic Machhapuchare Himal the Fish-Tail peak, one of few virgin mountains around Nepal Himalaya that have never been climbed or allowed. After a great time at Poon Hill and Ghorepani, the adventure continues to reach our main destination. Towards Annapurna Sanctuary and Tent Peak base camp, the walk takes you through a forest with the climb to Deurali. From here with down and ups to reach Tadapani, a small settlement with many good lodges amidst forest surroundings. From Tadapani with long descend to Kimrong Khola / stream and then climb to reach Chomrong, a large Gurung village. Which is the main gateway to Annapurna base camp and Sanctuary, as well as the last permanent village on route Sanctuary. Walk follows on the route to our destination through Modi River gorge, within a dense forest of pines, rhododendron with some bamboo groves.
Following the Modi River upstream right up to its glacial source at Annapurna base camp and the sanctuary. As the walk leads past a few settlements of Bamboo, Dovan, and Deurali, a place with inns and lodge for trekkers. From Deurali a steep climb to Machhapuchare Base Camp, located beneath the North-West Face of Fish Tail peak. On leaving MBC enter towards picturesque Sanctuary enclosed by an amphitheater of high snow peaks of Annapurna range. Slowly walk takes you to the heart of Annapurna Himalaya at base camp, situated above 4,130 m high. Located at the base of Annapurna-I and Annapurna South peaks facing first views of Tent Peak or Tharpu Chuli.
Our real adventure begins from here onward heading beyond Annapurna base camp and sanctuary, walking on a faint path through glaciers. As the climb continues to reach a nice open ground to set our base camp for the climb to Tent Peak. The grade of the climb we have taken from the French / Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification System is ‘PD +’. Means “Per Difficult” with a plus that leads to a reasonable straight-forward climb with some technical effort. Climbing mostly on snow slopes around 35° to 40° vertical with few exposed ridges. At base camp with time for practice exercises on snow and ice climb, to make the ascent accessible. Making high camp, and then ready for the Big Day! Where route of the climb takes you to a ridge via West Face, and then Southeast to reach the summit. A good ice axe is recommended and crampons with main ropes throughout the climb of Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli. After a tough struggle and then reach on top of Tent Peak 5,663 m and 18,575 feet high.
Then feel the high spirit of success and triumph facing the super panorama of all Annapurna Himalaya ranges of peaks. Including views of Manaslu, Lamjung, and Dhaulagiri in the far west, from the top after a great lifetime experience. A safe descend takes you back at base camp, and then head towards the back into green vegetation and tree lines. After the tough climb, the rest of the walk is easy on ups and downhill to reach a road-head. Where short drive brings you to beautiful Pokhara and then back to Kathmandu to conclude our overwhelming adventure on Tent Peak and Tharpu Chuli Climb.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On arrival at Kathmandu-Nepal International Airport via various airlines, our guide and staff receive you for a short transfer to the heart of Kathmandu city. Where your hotel is located, after checking into your rooms and then meet other members of the trek at the hotel lobby for briefing. Regarding the wonderful adventure to Tent Peak and Tharpu Chuli Climb, on briefing includes useful information to make your holiday in Nepal more enjoyable. The evening group welcomes dinner in a lovely Nepalese Restaurant with an introduction to the Nepalese culture of various parts of Nepal with folk dance and music.
Day 2 : At Kathmandu climb preparation and tour of heritage sites.
The morning after good breakfast, enjoy a tour of Kathmandu places of great interest where our city guide leads you with a short drive and walks to visit famous historical and religious monuments with old palaces. Most of the ancient temples, Stupas, and monasteries including royal courtyards are listed in world heritage sites in the chapter of fascinating wonders. After an enjoyable back to the hotel, for the final meeting and preparations for the most wonderful adventure to Tent Peak climb and Annapurna Sanctuary trekking.
Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara 865 m - 220 km of 6 hrs. Transfer to hotel.
Starting for a long interesting drive towards Nepal Far Mid-West to reach the beautiful city of Pokhara, heading past farm villages and towns around the low warm country of heavily farm areas. On leaving the Trisuli River and Mugling Bazaar head due west to reach Pokhara by the serene Phewa Lake for an overnight stop in a nice hotel. At Pokhara with time for short walks around the lakeside, with excellent views of Annapurna Himalaya if the day is clear.
Day 4 : Drive to Hille 1, 240 m and trek to Ulleri village 1,790 m - 06 hrs.
After a pleasant overnight stop on scenic Pokhara, a short drive takes you beyond Pokhara valley to reach Nayapul town, and then on a rough dirt road to reach Hille, a farm village to start our first-day walks, avoiding the main motorable road, with steep climb past Tirkhedhunga to reach Ulleri a hill village, where the air gets much cooler with overnight in a nice lodge facing views of Annapurna peaks.
Day 5 : Trek to Ghorepani 2, 858 m - 04 hrs.
From this nice village of Ulleri, a short walk of few hours to Ghorepani as route leads on the nice pleasant path into forest of rhododendron, pines, oaks, and magnolia, with uphill to reach Ghorepani perched on a ridge top. Where all houses that serve as nice lodges are painted blue, based on the bottom of Poon Hill a famous and popular view-point on the shortest trek of Annapurna Himalaya region.
Day 6 : Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and trek to Tadapani 2, 645 m - 05 hrs.
Early morning start to catch the sunrise, climb for an hour to reach Poon Hill with time for views of stunning sunrise that reflects on snow-mountains of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu Himalaya range, a grand panorama of more than 360° wide views of the mountain range. After a refreshing morning head back to Ghorepani for breakfast, and continue to trek uphill into the nice cool forest to reach high Deurali, facing views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range with majestic Machhapuchare Himal the Fish Tail peak. From Deurali down into a gorge to Bhanthati a small settlement with many lodges and tea-house, after a short rest walk carries on the downhill into dense forest to a stream, then with last hour climb to Tadapani a nice place with many good lodges for overnight stay.
Day 7 : Trek to Chomrong 2,170 m-06 hrs.
Enjoy morning views of Annapurna South, Huin Chuli, and Machhapuchare Himal, after breakfast head downhill to Kimrong River, and then steep up to reach a nice level path that leads to Chomrong of few hours pleasant walks. Chomrong a large Gurung village, and the last permanent settlement on route Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp. Overnight in a nice lodge facing views of Annapurna peaks and beautiful landscapes of hills and green valley.
Day 8 : Trek to Dovan 2,630 m - 06 hrs.
From Chomrong village, morning down to Chomrong River fed from the glaciers of Annapurna South and Huin Chuli peaks, after crossing a bridge climb starts on stone steps to reach Sinuwa-Danda, a small place with few nice lodges and shops. Having a short refreshing cool break, and then continue to walk into the dense forest to reach a river gorge at a place called Bamboo, close above Modi River amidst bamboo, rhododendron, pine, and oaks forest. From Bamboo place, an hour walk with a gradual climb to Dovan for an overnight stop, a small place situated on a gorge of raging Modi River.
Day 9 : Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3, 800 m - 06 hrs.
Enjoying a pleasant quiet overnight with the sound of a rivet, morning from this small place Dovan, the climb continues as the air gets lighter and much cooler heading towards scenic Annapurna Sanctuary. The climb continues on the winding path with few steep ups to reach a place called Himalaya Hotel, near to a large cave of Hinko just beneath high Hiunchuli peak. From here walk over the glacier of moraine then reach Deurali, the last settlement before Machhapuchare Base Camp. Where vegetation and tree lines stop for a few alpine bushes and shrubs, climbs continue following Modi River upstream to Machhapuchare Base Camp (MBC) for an overnight stop in the comfort of a nice lodge. Overnight stop at MBC beneath towering North Face of Machhapuchare Himal a peak with twin summits shaped of a Fish-Tail, a virgin, and unclimbed peaks in the whole Himalaya range.
Day 10 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at 4,130 m - 03 hrs.
From here starts the picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary a glacial valley and a plateau enclosed by an array of high snow peaks of the Annapurna range. A short morning trek with a short climb to enter the most scenic country in all Himalaya, the Annapurna Sanctuary as the walk continues on a nice level path to Annapurna Base Camp. Enjoy stunning views of Annapurna group of peaks that surrounds the base camp with towering Mt. Annapurna-I the world's 10th highest at 8,091 m / 26, 545 feet with an array of peaks. Annapurna Sanctuary was first explored by the British Adventure Col. James O.M. 'Jimmy' Roberts in the year 1956 and exposed to the world as the 'Sanctuary of Gods'. Since then the name Sanctuary came to be known. Enjoy the rest of the day facing the superb scenery of Annapurna-I, Annapurna South, Gangapurna with Annapurna-III, the view includes Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish-tail) and Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli with Fluted Peaks or Singu Chuli.
Day 11 : Trek to Tent peak base camp 4,450 m / 14,600 feet - 05 hrs.
After a wonderful rest and overnight at Annapurna Base Camp, from here for few nights in tented camping till to the end of Tent Peak climb.Morning head down to a glacier and moraine and cross over the rocky path to reach an icy faint path for an hour towards Annapurna south glacier.As climb carries on overlooking grand view towards Tent Peak or Tharpu Chuli with adjoining high mountains, after some hours of good trek reach a flat ground to set our base camp, our first night in tented camp.Afternoon free for climbing preparation and practice climb and checking gear and rest of the day marvel the scenic views.
Day 12 : Trek to High Camp 5, 010 m - 04 hrs.
Vertex Holidays understanding the nature of climb to Tent Peak summit, adding an extra camp to make the adventure easier and accessible to cope with technical difficulty to reach the summit. From base camp, a steep climb over rock and glacier with a lot of boulders, as the climb continues to reach high camp at 5,010 meters high, after setting a camp on available level ground rest of the afternoon free preparation for next morning Big Day ascent of Tent Peak summit.
Day 13 : Climb Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli and descend to Base Camp - 08 hrs.
Start early as possible with a light breakfast and the climb over a steep snow slope that leads to a reasonable straight-forward climb with some technical effort. Climbing mostly on snow slopes around 35° to 40° vertical with few exposed ridge. A great Ice climbing know-how is required, our expert guide will fix ropes on a necessary section of the climb to make the route much safer to reach the summit of Tent Peak. After a tough hard struggle and then with the last push to reach on top of Tent Peak and Tharpu Chuli at 5,663 m and 18,575 feet high. Enjoy the great tough effort facing outstanding views of the snow mountain range that surrounds you on top. Make a safe descend to base camp, after enjoying a joyous moment and triumph on the summit of Tent Peak.
Day 14 : Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp MBC - 06 hrs.
Clear the camp of Tent Peak, after breakfast leaving nothing except for your footprints. After packing and carry the garbage to hand over to dump at designated disposal sites or hand to the concerned authority.An easy good walk back to Annapurna Base Camp and then head down to MBC for overnight in a warm cozy comfort of a nice lodge.
Day 15 : Trek from MBC to Bamboo 2,345 m - 05 hrs.
Morning enjoys the last close views of surrounding high peak, after a hearty breakfast, head downhill to Deurali and back into green vegetation and tall tree lines, as walk leads further down with few short ups to Bamboo for an overnight stop in this small settlement amidst a forest of bamboo and tall pines trees.
Day 16 : Trek to Jhinu village 1,780 m a place with Hot Spring - 05 hrs.
Start the day with a short climb on leaving Modi River and Bamboo place and then on the winding path within the woodland to reach Sinuwa Danda, from here downhill to Chomrong River and then climb to Chomrong village for a possible lunch stop. From Chomrong a short climb and then descend on nice paved stone steps to reach a lovely Jhinu village, perched on a high ridge with grand views of rolling hills and valleys, after checking into a nice lodge with time to enjoy hot natural spring, a short downhill from the village by the bank of Modi River.
Day 17 : Trek to road head and drive to Pokhara - 04 hrs.
From Jhinu village, last day short walk down to a bridge to reach a motorable rough road, and then take a drive for few hours on hill dirt tracks to reach Nayapul, from here on the main highway to reach Pokhara and then transfer to your hotel near the famous scenic Phewa Lake. The rest of the day free for individual activities, time permitting enjoy boating on the lake, and hike to Peace Stupa, located on a hilltop opposite side of the lake. Pokhara is famous for paragliding, Zip Flyer, Ultra-Light flight, or Bungee Jump.
Day 18 : Drive to Kathmandu -06 hours.
After breakfast, depart from Pokhara for an exciting and interesting drive to Kathmandu, as the journey heads on the main highway past many farm villages and towns. The drive follows the Trisuli River for some hour and then climbs to reach the suburb of Kathmandu valley. Finally, the ride heads down to enter the hustle, bustle city life of Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotel. The rest of the afternoon free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs or enjoy rest with grand memories of the adventure on the high mountains of Annapurna Himalaya. Day 19 : A day in Kathmandu for free individual activities.
