Langtang Region Trekking is near the Kathmandu valley, in the north. It is one of the most popular trekking regions in Nepal. Treks in Langtang extend up to the border region to Tibet. It is surrounded by the towering peaks of Nepal and Tibet. It is also a pocket zone of the snow leopard and red panda. Langtang region has three distinct destinations: the Langtang valley, Gosaikunda Lake, and the Helambu valley.
Langtang valley is populated by the Tamang ethnic groups. The trail goes through the oak and rhododendron forests. Located below the Langtang Lirung, it offers a unique trekking experience. Kyangjin Gompa (3740m) is a spiritual centre in this part of Langtang. Gosaikunda Lake is another wonderful destination, which is religiously more popular. This Lake is sacred, where Hindu and Buddhist devotees pay their homage. The Helambu valley trek is fruitful to explore the Sherpa culture and heritages. Combining all these destinations, Langtang Circuit Trek is introduced, which exceeds over 4610 meters altitude in Lauribina pass.
